Cherise makubale wins befta award

Cherise Makubale Foundation has won a befta award, The Cherise Makubale Foundation (CMF) is a non-profit organisation that supports orphans and vulnerable children and grass root women in Zambia. The foundation does not house orphanages but rather supports children that are already in orphanages and transit homes.

The foundation has been recognized in the humanitarian category, in appreciating the former Big Brother housemate’s contribution in helping the vulnerable in society.

Below is what Cherise Makubale was quoted saying on social media;

My Friends, I have been doing Charity work way before Big Brother and continued after but now that I live abroad, I have streamlined the operations into The Cherise Makubale Foundation supporting vulnerable children, orphans and grass-root women. I do this because I have a passion for it and always want to play a small part in helping the less privileged in society.

I am happy to announce that our work has been rewarded by BEFFTA AWARDS in London who have given me a Humanitarian Award. This will go a long way to further our cause. A special thank you to Dr Pauline long, Founder of the BEFFTA Awards, and the Entire CMF Voluntary team who offer their time to this cause. I dedicate this award to them and to all those that have helped me and continue to help me. May God bless you all.
