Komboni Radio To Resume Transmission

The radio station that is one of the most listened to radio stations in Lusaka was on the 24th of November suddenly shut down after it’s equipment was allegedly confiscated by Muvi TV proprietor Steven Nyirenda who stormed the radio following a marital dispute with Komboni Radio owner Lesa Kasoma.

It is believed that Mr Nyirenda locked up the Komboni Radio premises situated in Kamwala Township and denied access to the building by members of staff and the Radio Station owner.

However, in the early hours of today police from force headquarters swang into action and broke the premises to allow access to the building to Ms. Lesa Kasoma and members of staff.

Meanwhile, several well wishers, sympathisers and prominent business people have approached the owner and proprietor of komboni radio to insure that the station is back on air with immediate effect.

And Komboni Radio owner Lesa Kasoma has commended the office of the IG who have swiftly intervene in this predicament to ensue that the perpetrators of injustice are brought to book.

In an interview, Ms Kasoma assured listeners and advisers that the radio station will soon hit the airwaves and apologised for the inconvenience caused.
