Mr Eazi Cited Inspiration For #KeysTotheCity From “ye ye ye ye ye” Chant!

African superstar singer – Mr Eazi has published how he came up with “Keys To the City“, the singer indicated that he Drew inspiration from the “ye ye ye ye ye” chant from Zambia and the “Lamba Lolo” a Kenyan term.

Keys To The the City is a record “having heard from numerous youths across the land calling for youthful leadership, the Banku Music chief throwed his hat into the electoral ring with a befitting campaign video for the highest office in #Ogede2019.

After this sentence is a taken screen gram of Mr Eazi’s IG post.

Track 7 – Keys to the City – I first got the topline melody for Keys to the City in a car on my way to the Abuja Airport. On the flight I recorded the voicenote for both the beat and the hook. I then sent it to @guiltybeatz & @simbatagz who came to join me on tour in Zambia & Kenya.

Drawing inspiration from the “ye ye ye ye ye” chant from Zambia 🙈 lol & the “Lamba Lolo” term I heard in Kenya, I went on to record the song in my hotel room with Simba.
