The pronouncement of the offer of land to musicians through ZAM by Hon Jean Kapata on 14th February 2019, was made possible by His Excellency Mr. Edgar Lungu through the Minister of Lands Hon Ms Kapata who offered land to Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) for the purposes of the construction of a multifaceted state of the art music performance and production/auditorium facility which will certainly contribute in many ways towards the much needed development of the Zambian music industry. This is a milestone in the musical history of the country and should be supported by all musicians, artistes, Government Departments, individuals citizens, private companies and corporate institutions. The construction and operationalization of this music resource and education center whose benefits are expected to trickle down to the larger majority of young people in the creative industries and informal sector at large should be a collective vision which will stand the test of time.
