“Speaking on behalf of the youth, we have called on the government through the youth ministry to quickly intervene and ban a notorious music group 408 Empire from producing immoral music.
Zambia is a Christian nation with high level Christianity values. On moral standards, we need to admit the fact that Explicit in songs should never be ignored and taken so lightly.
Music influences the mind of the listeners and that is why some radical songs by sponsored musician have had government to Ban them because of the negative influence the music may have on the listeners.
Most Copperbelt youths are criminals today because they are made to sing and act like savage, dance to immoral music by 408Empire. Even if we need to make money, does it mean we need to make money in a bad way?
Music is a form communication and 408Empire seems to be communicating to the youth folk that it is right to get involved in violent behaviors.
As Christian nation we need to control what type of songs are produced especially on the moral aspect. Let us ask these boys 408Empire to give us a reason why we should not condemn their negative music or else we ban them from producing music because they keep contributing to moral decay in our country.
As a representation of the Zambian youth, I also want to caution all local musicians to make sure the music they produce doesn’t in anyway promote immorality or they risk being barred from making music.
Music is a form of art and a bigger part of entertainment, so please entertain us and don’t make us criminals.
